The
break down of the grading system for this class is as follows:
Test and Quizzes 30%
Homework and in class assignments 20%

97-100=A+ 94-96=A 90-93=A-
97-89=B+ 84-86=B 80-83=B-
77-79=C+ 74-76=C 70-73=C-
67-69=D+ 64-66=D 60-63=D-

In
accordance with school policy, any student who misses over 20 unexcused classes
will not be given credit for the course.
When
a student is absent from the class they are responsible for any and all work
they may have missed during the absent days.
Any late work will receive a drop in grade for every day it is late. If the student does not turn in the work
which was assigned, the work will receive a one-letter grade drop for each day
it is late.

in both individual assignments and group activities

assignments on time

responsible for missed assignments when absent

prepared every time you come to class

yourself to find the answers which you don’t see immediately

Extra Help Hours:
My extra help days will be
Monday through Thursday for anyone who thinks they may need some extra help. If
you are unclear of an issue or concept raised in class, don’t hesitate to
ask. PLEASE ASK QUESTIONS! I am also available at other times during the
week and will be happy to help anyone at anytime that my schedule permits. I hope this is a very fun and successful
semester and I want nothing else but to see each and everyone of you
succeed. If you work hard, set your
priorities and respect those around you, you can achieve great things both in
and out of the classroom. Have a great

Community Service Opportunities
Please see me for information
about the various groups around town that are service orientated. Here at Harwich High the history department
is active at town meeting and all town elections. The whole department would be happy to help
any individuals that would like to participate.
